So this comes out on the 5th. It seems that literally no one cares, and at this point, that might be the best option.

Still, I'm wondering how it will fare under the scopes of critical reviewers. What say thee?

To be honest, I don't think I've heard or seen anything about this game since the reveal. It doesn't appear to have made improvements, and people who are actually critical will notice.

Also, I like how in-game America grows more and more incompetent with each title. Soon even the Vatican will have a more competent military.

Well, no matter what happens, there's always one or two people who are really good at killing Russians.

I've played it, if anyone cares. The campaign was decent; it took me maybe 8 hours to play through on veteran my first playthrough. Halfway through it turns into a bomb range- I don't think I've ever seen so many explosions. Loads and loads of QTEs, and one of them is nearly impossible on veteran and it's after minute-and-a-half unskippable cutscene, so fuck you Infinity Ward. There were a couple of missions I liked, namely the ones in space and underwater. They mechanics for both are identical, and there's only two or three of them so it's nothing too spectacular. There was also one stealth mission I enjoyed because it put you in a jungle and you could kinda-not-really explore while avoid patrols. I just felt like playing Predator with the heartbeat sensor.

I only played a bit of multiplayer, but it's almost exactly the same. UI sucks. Leaning sucks. Killstreaks suck, so fuck that imma play Battlefield.

Makes sense.

There were many stealth parts, but only one pure stealth mission. I think. I just remember that one because I felt like the Predator.

And to be honest, this misplaced naming is far less egregious than the explosion-fest called Black Ops.

A black operation is simply something kept off the books. It isn't necessarily an infiltration, but it can be.

However, "Ghosts" implies it's going to be stealthy in terms of gameplay, not story.

In any case, I've also heard it sucks, so w/e.

It ranges from mediocre to sucks. 5/10.
