This statement already makes me not like it before I have watched the video or even have ever heard anything about it.

Ironic you say that, when the basic principle is actually pretty similar to what Desinty intends to do.

What Destiny has said they want to do is fluff. Every game ever says the same damn thing.

Even if they don't do everything they have set out to do I trust Bungie to at least make a fun game for TCF as a group to join together and fight NPC's in.



Something with a Syfy logo on it I do not trust.

I wasn't for one second saying this game would be good, SyFy is a name that has become infamous for putting out such fine products as Sharktopus. Their only game credit was Red Faction Armageddon.

What Bungie has set out about Destiny seems to me to be a design document; the basic principle ideas they want to explore and make a game with. A lot of that is indeed flexible and they didn't confirm anything that would be set in stone with what they said, beside possibly the always on functionality of the game.

I trust Bungie to make a very good product, I just found it funny that somebody was also trying to do the same thing, and will probably fail. Might serve as a good example of how not to do their game.

If i remember i thought this would be ok once too, then i saw Sharktopus.

But I guess we can say having a TV show tie in with a game was a good idea in theory.

Watched the show. Seems decent. I'll be watching it and hoping it turns out well.

No word on the game though.

Actually, from what I've seen of this game it's pretty decent. A bit buggy, but hopefully that will get ironed out as it continues since it's an MMO. The gameplay looks solid and it seems to, at the very least, keep up with current-gen MMOs. I'd probably describe it as a mix of Borderlands and Guild Wars, though I don't actually know much about the story yet. Not sure if I'll pick it up some day, but I'm keeping an eye on it to see what happens.

I quite enjoy the trailer song ("Radioactive") if nothing else.

The show seems like a mix of Firefly/Borderlands and something else that has aliens in it just living and being there......Mass Effect maybe?


The game looked decent, i'd maybe pick it up if it was cheaper. 60 bucks even without a subscription fee is a bit much for a game I don't have huge hopes for.

Liking the show though. Will check it out next week and hope it turns out good.

I liked it, though. As for the game, eh.

I got the game and its buggy at points but it will probably get better once more updates and patches are added to the game.

It seems like fun, just not 60 dollars worth of fun.

Heard a lot of middling reviews about this, which peaked my interest as most say the game has some pretty fun gameplay but it has a lot of bugs and other problems.

Do you guys think it would be worth a look at a few months down the line when it's half price and the bugs have been patched?

Maybe. I wouldn't pay more than $30 for it and, even then, only if I knew a few others who played it or planned on playing it around the time of my purchase.

I'd look into it if there was a free trial and it was 30 bucks.
