So Deep Silver announced Dead Island: Riptide 'Zombie Bait' edition which is exclusive to the UK, and its....not very tasteful.

Maybe, the response they gave made it sound like they didn't think about it very much, as their reason for it's existence is pretty ridiculous.

If it is then yeah, definitely a publicity thing. I just thought it was some fucking DLC and I bought the original when it came out.

The way they originally pitched it, I thought it was an expansion or Arcade game, but it apparently it's a full boxed sequel (Though they say it's not one and more a spin-off/expansion and not Dead Island 2).

I don't really get it. Or how some people could perceive that statue as sexist.

I'd prefer to have a half naked woman bikini model than a half naked male swimsuit model.

hell, people complained about getting the spartan helmet with halo 3 simply because they wanted the extra stuff besides it. I cant imagine anyone except maybe a hormone crazed teenager wanting a decapitated set of plastic breasts

and this is me being an anatomy snob, but they didn't even attach the breast to the ribcage correctly because they completely left out the shape of the pectoral and serratus anterior muscles.

It's an amusing coincidence that only a week ago Dead Space 3 announced their collector's edition and surprisngly enough it doesn't have a statue of a dismembered necromorph, even though that what you spend the majority of the previous games doing (Which was the defense for this statue from Deep Silver).

Does have a pretty neat Marker Statue though.

Nope (as in, you're right, he isn't a lawyer anymore). He got disbarred awhile ago, for being too litigious.

Dead Space 3 can't justify a necromorph statue because it's not survival horror and you spend little time fighting necromorphs. EA must have felt bad because their "look how offensive we are!" ad campaign didn't ruin Dead Space 2, so they're taking no chances with Dead Space 3.

What are we so worked up about? It's not like anyone will buy a new Dead Island game anyway xD

In all seriousness, it is pretty bad. A stupid-looking zombie head would have been neat, but the torso is just bad.
