Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel.
So you know that series I have I like (First game) loathe (Second game) relationship with?
They're rebooting it to be more "more intense, mature, and grittier tone" taking on the Mexican cartels with two characters who have nothing to do with the previous one except for some skull masks.

I have a horrible feeling this might be another Call of Juarez: The Cartel.

Finally! This is exactly what the game market needs, a gritty, serious, modern shooter. I hope there's lots of brown and grey.

It's going to be on Frostbite 2, so expect the ridiculous bloom and contrast.CivBase wrote:Finally! This is exactly what the game market needs, a gritty, serious, modern shooter. I hope there's lots of brown and grey.

Meh... I don't care much for super bloom either. Lighting wont get you very far if none of the actual scenery is appealing to look at. Halo's lighting engine isn't anything special compared to games like BF3, but the visuals are spectacular because Halo simply has things that are worth seriously looking at.

Also it's being made by Visceral games, so expect a lot of limbs being blown off during combat.

Honestly, a graphic artist ought to sacrifice 50 grams of skin every time they use bloom. Maybe then we'd get bloom used when it actually adds something, and not just because the bloom widget is the funnest tool to use in Photoshop.Angatar wrote:It's going to be on Frostbite 2, so expect the ridiculous bloom and contrast.CivBase wrote:Finally! The artists who worked on bf3 wouldn't have any skin then, though.
I mean, don't games look so much better when you wash out all the colour and blind people with lens flares and bloom.
