As do I in killing yours. A lot of the founding fathers of the USA were Freemasons, which most likely meant they were Templars.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
no, freemasons are more illuminati, not templars. They're kind of competing groups.

Huh.
Their cipher looks like the assassin's symbol.
I stand corrected. Probably Assassin's then.

I'm sure the assassin logo is based off the letter A....

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Help me. I have a dilemma.
Where from should I pre-order this game? There are different bonus's depending on where you pre-ordered from.
Gamestop: Lost Mayan Ruins mission and Sawtooth Sword (Singleplayer add-ons)
Best Buy: Ghosts of War mission and Pontiac Club (more singleplayer stuff)
Amazon: Capn. Aquila multiplayer character and Boarding axe (singleplayer weapon)
Target: Redcoat and Colonial Assassin multiplayer characters
Walmart: Dangerous Secret mission and Flintlock Musket (singleplayer)
I want the Target one, since I am a big fan of multiplayer and having things others don't. Although I have a feeling that they'll just release them on Uplay for points anyway...

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
They'll have DLC for all of them, of course priced at 1600 each...

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
And that is what I DON'T like about preordering. It's no longer an incentive to buy from a particular retailer - instead it's become a division of product.

600 or so years later and you still fit into society with a good set of white robes, no questions asked.

From my experience with the Assassin's Creed pre-order DLC mostly is very in-circumstantial, and they tend to give it to you later in the standard DLC they were going to release anyway.
But I agree with the principle. Batman Arkham City was especially bad, as there were loads of batman costumes all from different developers, and it wasn't easy to get them.
Soul Calibur V had a exclusive pre-order DLC character from very few retailers, and you could not get him in game.
It's something that hopefully happen less and less as we move into the next generation of consoles.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I'll just assume you guys want me to pre-order the Target one.
I'm neighbors with the Target District Manager for my area, I'll support his business.

Personally, I'd go with the Gamestop one.

Hahaha Good joke, we all know that its gonna get worst before it gets better As it stands now publishers are going to keep weighing how much that they can lock you out of before release and then sell back to you with an unlock code and get away with it.
but yea from what i have heard about the secret missions from AC2 and onwards they really aren't anything worth writing about so go with the characters since you'll use those.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
I probably will. They're keeping a rather tight lid on the multiplayer for Ass Creed 3, and I have no clue why.
I hope it still involves free-running a lot though, since from what I DID see was a lot of just ground level walking around and guessing who you're supposed to kill. I mean, it's fun, but so are the exciting chases you know? The game was built around free-running, so the multiplayer should include it too.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
None of this matters...why would you let your experience with a game be defined by unimportant and small pieces of DLC that you will rarely use. I will pre-order AC3 at the same place I always pre-order my games and nothing will change.
I am not concerned with the pre-order bonuses because what I have found after years of gaming is that they rarely equate to anything. Sure, they may give you a different skin or a fancy looking gun but I have never found myself saying "DAMN THIS GAME IS RUINED FOR ME NOW THAT I DON'T HAVE THE FANCY REDCOAT ASSASSIN NINJA SKIN". I play the game for the game, not for the pre-order bonuses.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3
Did you purposely misunderstand me or accidentally?
You see, I'm not letting a pre-order bonus "define my experience of the game".
I'm just asking which one you people think I should get since I am pre-ordering it, and want to get the best pre-order bonus that I can... because that'd be the logical thing to do.
I'm pre-ordering for the bonus, obviously. Most people have multiple locations they can buy games at, and Ass Cree 3 wont completely sell out so the only reason anyone would pre-order is for the bonuses right? Unless they're lazy and want it delivered to their homes.
