2001: A Space Oddyssey-verse, at 3001 though, because of the cheap-ish space travel, and humanity isn't in danger for too long.

Well, no one's trying to invade earth right now (that we know of)...Vigil wrote:Probably the Star Trek Universe, as you're pretty much untouchable and have it super easy if you live on or near Earth.
Earth is untouchable in that universe, even the Borg couldn't invade it, and they tried three times.
Worst thing that ever happened was the space parasites and a thunderstorm.

Planet is also a Utopia, with no war, famine, money or much hardship.
So relative to other universes, your pretty much set for a easy life.

Dresdenverse.
It's basically this world as it is but with more supernatural stuff going on in the background.
Plus I could be a wizard ^.^

Re: Which Fictional Universe would you want to be in?
If I could choose, I would be a special somebody in the Star Wars Universe.
Nobody shown in the movies or books, but someone with enough rank to get a grate welded over the second Death Star's exhaust port, a fleet of Tie Bombers set up to carpet-nuke Endor, and auxiliary shields placed over the Executor's bridge.
As for a universe where you can just be nobody... Meh, probably Star Wars again.
Space travel isn't exactly cheap in that universe. You're still limited by C, and it's somewhat expensive.
All that's really happened is that they eliminated reaction-mass limitations with the Inertialess Drive, and the crew on those ships don't even know how they work or how to maintain them.

You'd still be left with a leaderless empire, as both Palpatine and Vader were killed. Yes, the main group of rebels will be defeated, but major futures problems will arise regardless.

Each sector is controlled by Moffs so the whole galaxy is still under decent enough Imperial Control until a better solution is made.

And the amounts of rebellion, piracy and other such acts would destroy whatever temporary government would be in place at the time.

Palpatine had clones of himself and used the force to transplant himself in the bodies.

The Imperial Remnant was still a very powerful faction far into the reign of the New Republic. If I recall correctly, they were even involved in the Yuuzhan Vong wars.

On second thought, since it'll knock off Palpatine and Vader, that grate can stay off. Executor still gets the extra protection, since it had some of the best and brightest of the Empire at the time.
Most of us like to pretend that never happened. The Pariah wrote:Palpatine had clones of himself and used the force to transplant himself in the bodies.

The Red Alert universe, hands down. Things in that universe don't make sense, they're just fricking awesome.

TRON or Matrix, in either case you can load up simulations of other universes without risking death (simulations).
