Seems really cool, but I wanna know what the system specs would be like on a game made with that.

As a person who still enjoys sprite games, I'm not super hyped about it, but it is an interesting idea and I'd like to see it continue to progress.

Seems a little bit insane...

and until we actually see it and hear from sources outside of the company, impossible to tell if they're being honest.

Zombie games will actually make me piss myself when blood and guts spray out of my monitor and smack me in the face. Same goes for boomer bile and spitter acid. Don't even get me started on tanks and hunters.

It could also mean our games take longer to come out as artists have to spend double the amount of time making a super detailed world.

Yes they can. Well, maybe not these guys, (sorry, I can't find the video because YouTube seems to have, overnight gotten even worse at searches), but I was watching a video of a guy that managed to get a troll model with an animation rig.

Or it means the games will cost more because the devs have to hire more artists to finish on time.

Or.... since they don't have to spend time trying to work with a polygon count, artists might be able to work faster. From what I've seen of game development, the art department is usually the first to get their crap done. A significant amount of the art stuff seems to be done before most games are even announced.

I say say one thing, You better have fallout 3 style nuclear powered PC to run that type of stuff. Consoles wont see that tech for a while.

well, isn't the argument for the programming that they got it to work on lower level pcs....which will probably still be gaming ones, but still. And look what modern day consoles have managed with 6 year old tech. The next gen of consoles could handle this easy. That's a benefit of having a console thats structure is set up for a single purpose.
