heavy rain
finished this game yesterday. Quite possibly one of the most epic games I have ever played in my life. My roommates would actually stop what they are doing to watch me play.
And while yes it may not be too much of a game, so match as an extremely interactive choose your own adventure book...it does it so fucking well.

Oh, I know that movie. On the big DVD player. Yah, that movie is like ten hours long, couldn't watch it that long.

haha, funny, but doesn't really undermine the quality of the game
just because you hate the ps3 doesn't make all its content bad

Re: heavy rain
This is quite possibly the one game I would buy a PS3 for.
Read the plot and everything (I'll never have a PS3, so there wasn't much point in keeping the endings a secret) and I like it. The whole thing is awesome.

Oh I was just making a joke. Nothing against the ps3, I just do this every time someone mentions Heavy Rain.

Probably not.

Re: heavy rain
Heavy Rain is so amazing.
- Spoiler:
- My only problem with it is that the killer never changes with different choices which would've been nice figuring there were a lot of chances for the plot to turn to another character to be the killer. Also, anyone else waiting for Ethan's blackouts to be explained?

That was funny. Also, Ethan runs like a fucking pussy boy considering that his son is about to get hit by a car.Vigil wrote:

Re: heavy rain
Then your friend is a retard. He probably didn't like it because it wasn't throwing enemies at you every two fucking seconds and actually focused on that thing called story that seems to be missing from a lot of games these days.Nocbl2 wrote:Actually, he doesn't even have an Xbox.Ruski wrote:And has he actually played it and set aside Xbox bias and his jealousy?

Yeah, tbh, I watched most of the game on Youtube and it looked pretty good.Carlos Spicyweiner wrote:Then your friend is a retard. - Spoiler:
- I loved it up until the point where they revealed the killer. I really wanted it to be all about those characters searching for the origami killer, and each of their different experiences... It felt really cheap and sort of forced when it turned out to be the private detective.
The fact of the matter is that, when playing the game, I WAS THAT CHARACTER. The game placed me into his head, and put me in control of his actions. I don't appreciate being told that I, the character, have been doing something all along that completely betrays the way I felt when I was playing.
It would be more acceptable if it turned out that the killer had multiple personalities... something that would excuse the fact that I didn't know who he really was when I was playing him.
Anyway, I absolutely fucking loved the game up until that point. I still enjoyed it beyond that, but it REALLY diminished the experience for me.

- Spoiler:
- The blackouts did serve as a nice Red Herring to make it seem to be heading towards a Fight Club ending, but I agree. They should've had some greater plot relevance, or at least some explanation.
