DoW: DC still worth a buy for singleplayer?
Im kinda pumped for the newest DoW 2 expansion and was considering buying Dark Crusade for the single player campaign. Is it worth the buy? Will I learn more about each of the factions? Is there any major story elements that I'll learn about?

DC's campaign is Risk on steroids, and doesn't really relate to the story as a whole. Granted, that story is very canonical in the first place, but I would give DC a buy. It's got to be the best balanced game in the series and imo the most fun.Ascendant Justice wrote:Im kinda pumped for the newest DoW 2 expansion and was considering buying Dark Crusade for the single player campaign. I can tell you right now Dark Crusade is outstanding in my opinion, but i haven't played DOW2 so i can't compare.
The Ork Campain in dark crusade is the funnest DOW campain ive played by far (that ive played, i still need to finish Tau and SM and Eldar campains) It's definatly worth a buy.

Gameplay-Wise DC is the best, but if you want story DoW and WA are the best.
You could probably buy all three pretty cheaply if you dug around a bit

I got all three for like, 17$
Then again, I can't play WA since the piece of shit keeps telling me I've "inserted the wrong disc"

the platinum edition i bought contained all three for around 40 dollars, but i also here every expansion can play as a standalone game.

Winter Assault needs DoW, and I'm pretty sure Chaos Rising needs DoW2, but yeah you're right for the most part.dragoon9105 wrote:Kasrkin Seath wrote:Gameplay-Wise DC is the best, but if you want story DoW and WA are the best.

This game is awesome lol. And orkz are by far the easiest race to win Stronghold matches with since all you gotta do is get the upgrade that makes slugga squads free, mass a shitload of them, and A-move the map.
