Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
They hate the story and the dialogue (which at a couple points is pretty bad *cough*Zeratul*cough*).

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
I liked the story; but yeah, the dialogue could get pretty bad.Ascendant Justice wrote:They hate the story and the dialogue (which at a couple points is pretty bad *cough*Zeratul*cough*).
Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
I completely missed the zeratul missions first play around. No idea how. And most of the research is in that.
The things I've heard people complain about is: only one faction campaign? Blasphemy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And
No LAN blaaaaaaaasphemy!!!!!!!!
And
You must be online to play???? Blasssssssssssphemy!!!!!!!
To be fair the LAN thing kind of annoys me. I would liked to have played with my brother and friends.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
I don't blame Blizzard. They projected losses in the billions in Korea alone from piracy if LAN was allowed.

Just go ahead and add me via email: lollersquirrelz@gmail.com (oh, and my character code is 137)
The game is still well balanced, I just wish they didn't change the Terrans so much.
solid 8.5.
and I would like to know why AJ knows so many people bitching about the game.
I do visit other websites besides this one...
But the main thing with the dialogue was that the game used so many...cliche lines that EVERYONE has heard at least once or twice before in another movie or game or whatever and Zeratul in monotone despite the fact that he has the most epic mission in the game. Then yeah there was the whole "ONLY ONE FACTION?! GAAYY!!" thing and some didnt like all the filler missions in the game where as in SC1, every mission led to something. I know I saw ONE complaint about the overuse of the "hicks in space" theme but that got shot down quickly.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
Apparently quite a few of the lines are references to the StarCraft competition commentators. The one that springs to mind is the third to last(ish) mission: 'My ship has taken terrible, terrible damage.'

^ that definitely lol. Also a little neat thing that Blizzard did, is that during the cutscene "Fire and Fury", Raynor picks up a dog tag from a fallen marine that reads "M. Koiter". M. Koiter was a 19 year old programmer or graphics designer or something that died a few years ago. Apparently they made another reference to him in WoW.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
I was wondering...They made an emphasis on that scene and I didn't remember ever hearing the name mentioned in the story before.Ascendant Justice wrote:Cheese wrote:Apparently quite a few of the lines are references to the StarCraft competition commentators. I personally loved the campaign. One of the best RTS campaigns I've played, second only to WiC.
I'm getting better at online btw. I no longer have to rely on coming up with new cheese strategies that I use to douche people over from the start.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
Honestly, that campaign was the best RTS campaign I've ever played. DoWs, CnCs, Failo Wars, AoEs... the only one that I can think of as decent competition is the AoE 3 campaign, but I still think SC2s was much better.
Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
I was gonna say. My only comparison is AoE 3 and AoM, and this blew them both out of the water.
Basically the way the levels are designed so the newly introduced units are the most effective - really good idea.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
By the way, adding works two ways so if you've been added by someone you have to add em back. It's annoying.
Played my first online rts game with a person today. Fun stuff, although I did loose to a five pool It would have been fine had I not rolled zerg.

Re: Who Has Starcraft2?
Hmmm... I cant seem to find a game today. Any game.
It just says expanding search for however long until I give up. I'm online because I can see friends, and it says there are 750,000 people on battlenet, so what the hell is going on?
It's been fine until this morning.
Anybody fancy checking if theirs works for me?
