Ah, EA are truely following the COD Formula. Get some controversy from retards who don't know the whole story, to drive up sales for the game.
Any publicity is good publicity.
This year's 'No Russian' for sure.

You know those ads on Youtube? One said, "Tired of playing with plasma guns and Needlers?" No... "Well come play MoH!"Gold Spartan wrote:Funny enough, I decided to get MoH after watching that.Vigil wrote:Ah, EA are truely following the COD Formula. This isn't even fucking controversy...
CoD4 let you play as "terrorists" and I dont really remember anyone flipping two shits over that. If they took the title "Taliban" i'm sure everything would be okay for them?
Blimey, they want a game to not be sold because their feelings will be hurt. That is essentially what she's saying.

I got it, too. The campaign was short and easy, even on Hard. Tier 1, however, is a bit harder.
MP is broken until they patch the snipers. Open maps + Perfect Accuracy OHK weapons=fail. The snipers are my only real gripe with the MP, as all spawnkilling comes from snipers, and no other weapons feels overpowered.

I feel the EXACT same way. Sniping makes me soooo angry, they need to do something about it. Like how in Bad Company 2 it takes more than one shot if you dont hit them to the head maybe?

I heard they are going to make headshots OHK and the bolt-actions will take two body shots and battle rifles will take three body shots.

My bro got this today... haven't even seen it yet, but he said it's better than MW2 and worse than Halo: Reach. Big shocker.
Re: Medal of Honor (2010 reboot)
Pirated. Campaign is sloppy so far, I didn't even feel like finishing it.
I hear it's short as hell too.

I beg to differ, WaW has one thing over ever call of duty game (released that is) zombies witch practically doubled the lifespan of the game.

Re: Medal of Honor (2010 reboot)
Yah... played it today... wasn't particularly impressed.
Only got partway through the second level. That huge machinegun that you tow around (MG42?) is completely overpowered. With allies acting as unlimited ammo banks, I just sprayed bullets into enemies with no regard for aiming or ammo conservation. I didn't even use the iron sights and the gun is pathetically inaccurate. Just doing that on the medium difficulty (there are only three difficulties), I walked through the entire level without so much as a scratch.
The health system is crap, too. It takes the CoD blood-on-face idea, but tends to not tell you how close your are to death until the last second. Oh, and enemies can get one-hit-kill headshots. BS.
What little story I've payed attention to seems to be focused on Russians fighting the Taliban, which is kind of cool... I guess. Did I mention enemies could get one-hit-kill headshots? I mean WTF?
I mentioned earlier that allies act as "unlimited ammo banks" and I wasn't stretching it in the slightest. If you go up to one of your three team members, they will seriously re-fill your ammunition 100% as often as you like. That MG24 could carry 10 full clips that lasted about half-a-minute of continuous fire each.
Other than that - and the whole thing where you're playing as Russians - the game follows CoD to the letter. Night vision scenes (though this one has really bad night vision), the twittle-your-fingers vehicle rides that end in about five seconds of actual action, tons of terrorists with RPGs on the rooftops, etc.
As expected (and judging by what I've played), this is just CoD with a more vibrant color pallet. I'm so glad I wasn't the one forking over the money for it.

sounds like real life.
oh and btw, night vision is pretty poor. Try actually using night vision in real life and you totally lose your sense of distance. I couldn't even find the handles on my 50 cal without lifting the goggles up.

MG42? Uh, I believe your talking about either the PKM or M249. Does the amount of difficulties matter? I mean Easy, Medium and Hard are essentially every kind of difficulty. You didn't use the iron sights on your gun and it was pathetically inaccurate? Of course it's going to be inaccurate!
The health system is crap, too. It takes the CoD blood-on-face idea, but tends to not tell you how close your are to death until the last second. Oh, and enemies can get one-hit-kill headshots. BS.
I agree slightly on the first point here, as this did happen to me a few times. But your mad that the enemy can get head shots on you?
What little story I've payed attention to seems to be focused on Russians fighting the Taliban, which is kind of cool... I guess. Did I mention enemies could get one-hit-kill headshots? I mean WTF?
Well, you're going to get a mention of Russians if you want some backstory. Bagram was originally a Soviet base during the Soviet Invasion in the 80's.

Again, it's not an MG24. The ammo banks point only applies if you do not have a weapon that was of enemy origin. But yes, it's a bit crazy.

You don't play as Russians.....and I'd like to say this. The game takes place in the early days of Afghanistan. I'm sorry if you encounter too many enemies. Let's just forget that "The Whale" and Shah-i-Kot Valley had totalled over 1,000 insergents at the time.
As expected (and judging by what I've played), this is just CoD with a more vibrant color pallet. I'm so glad I wasn't the one forking over the money for it.
No, to be honest, this game is different from CoD. CoD simply goes out of it's way to rip shit up. At least MoH was vaguely based on reality.

Re: Medal of Honor (2010 reboot)
I'm with Ruski on this one. Your complaints seem reminiscent to the complaints profered by Treyarch when we talked to them at e3. I mean, you're upset that if you get shot in the head, you die? Remember when it was heavily stressed that MoH was going to focus on realism?
I would also point out that CoD followed MoH to the letter, back in the day, so it isn't exactly surprising that MoH is like CoD, since CoD was essentially a MoH rip off.
