Captialism: A Beautiful Thing.
Ok, people, you want to know where to go if you want an open market unregulated by Government?
Somalia
Quite honestly, I find it amazing that they've managed to do something like this in a war-torn country. Something to be said for libertarianism (and everyone owning an assault rifle) there.
But small co-ops like this are how insurance and stock exchanges were first set up in Europe, except based around trade ships, not piracy (admittedly, there was that too).
Point two: A woman got a @#$&ING ROCKET PROPELLED GRENADE from her ex-husband AS ALIMONY, and then turned that $25 investment into $75,000! God, is that a great country or what?

Capitalism needs some regulation, but just because something bad happens doesn't mean that it needs a regulation. Some of the regulations we have now in the US are completely necessary, but some are just BS.

As much as I adore the idea of a Blade-Runner esque dystopian capitalistic society.... I must say that, when I'm perfectly sane, and not aspiring to live in a world of evil, I find that a mild form of socialism is best for the common man.
As for the pirates, well, good for them! Here's hoping China continues to execute the bastards at a good pace.

There is never a perfect solution. They all have their pros and cons and there really isn't anything at the moment that provides a perfect solution. Yes, communism has its pros but it has its cons as well. Free market has its pros, and cons.
No matter which way you go, people are going to complain about the cons.

Re: Captialism: A Beautiful Thing.
All we got to do is eliminate the root of the problem that ruins communism, humans. Thats why I propose a mass nuking of the planet to make sure no human will be able to survive here on earth. (we also have to make sure that no one is in space at that time, either.CivBase wrote:Communism Pros: It's perfect
