I actually PM'd LP a few hours before I even saw this thread, asking him if he was interested in the forum receiving a new design. It'd only be an aesthetic change, nothing differing in the layout.

It' such a nice logo though. I wish I had the PS skills to produce something like that. Where'd you learn how to do that?

Great job leafy, it looks really good.

I basically saw other logos which used the same style. Then I played around in Photoshop trying to match it.

I can look at an image and get an idea of how to recreate it. It's not always spot on but I can get it close. In the case of this logo I looked through a tutorial to get ideas on where to fix it, and then I got the final logo.

That's my next project, creating a design of a new forum skin . I don't know the first thing about skinning phpBB though.

I've just realised it uses inline styles instead of an attached stylesheet, therefore it'll be a complete and utter bitch to actually modify visually.

I agree.
It would be nice if the layout actually had something to do with the colour crimson, or flames.

Im no designer, maybe some one whos good at this stuff can have a go
