Any good racing games for PC...

That offer good vehicle customization? Something that offers the ability to customize anything from vehicle performance to custom decals, spoilers, paint jobs, etc.

Preferably a game that's somewhat recent and has good offline gameplay.

Racedriver:Grid

GRID will probably offer you the best gameplay, but if you're after customisation, your only alternative is the NFS series. I hear Shift is alright.

If you want a NFS game get Underground 2, after that they have only got worse and worse as the series progress.

Although I haven't played Shift, they say it is realistic so you know it'll be shit. NFS should never have gone into the real side of racing games, the old one were awesome because they were not.

I bought the game as well.
Though it lacked in customization (you can only do paint jobs), it made up with gameplay, which is great.
Online is pretty good too.

NFS Carbon is good for both gameplay and customization.

Burnout 2 is good. Not sure if it's on PC.

well yeah carbon probbaly is the best bet if it was on the pc (i dont know) but grid does play well

Lol I have only spent about 100 bucks during the last 3 years on my pc. You don't have to spend a lot to play current games. Get your facts strait.

As for FPS on the PC you get dedicated servers and modding. Basically, it's a more user-generated world.

And you really don't need a lot. You can play counter-strike source with any computer made in the last 10 years or so.
