Halo Waypoint apparantly will also be part of the beta, not that any of us really give a damn.

$50 USD=$66 NZD
Gold in NZ= $80+

Not really. Most people I mentioned this to seemed to really like it.

Last.fm is only available to the US and the UK (even though I can listen to it on their site)

Probably because they are in NEW ZEALAND



They more than likely don't have to many servers there so it needs to be paid for more by the few than paid less than the many like it is here.

In Australia its $80 for a year. But at least we dont get forgotten by Xbox

Yea, well if our money goes towards America only Updates, then why doesn't American Money go toward only NZ servers.

once again, Microsoft can't control over seas licensing.

Netflix has no licensing to provide business outside of the US and Canada, so XBL can't make it so.

All of the services that are available in NZ and other countries (like facebook and twitter) also have to be licensed to Microsoft in all the countries.

It could be facebook and the like are charging too much for countries at a rate that microsoft can't see being realistically returned by working on the service.

I got the beta today, so far ITS PRETTY DAMN AWESOME. We get facebook, Zune and twitter. Halo Waypoint isnt out yet

just checked my email. i was accepted. can't install it until later today though

There is no Netflix on the Xbox in Canada.

Canadians get pretty fucked over with live, since the services are available here, no one else is putting them on a console, and Microsoft isn't giving us any of it (Last.fm, Netflix, more expensive dlc and games, when our dollar is worth about the same as the american.

well this update was for the entire world.

the Zune thing is the only thing I know is probably the entire world.


what i found dumb is the movie night thing. they want you to BUY certain movies to test the instant stream on the zune marketplace. like...BUY. they couldn't even cut beta testers some slack and give them 1 free movie.

for starters, you have to have gold to use facebook, last.fm only lasts 3 hours on silver, Last.fm can't be exited (to play a game or something) and still have music play, and the HD streaming of what I've tried so far doesn't compare to the quality of DLing in HD on the old market place.

Well, it is pretty obvious that they cannot just make it accessible to all countries, that is like saying that all a Free-to-air TV station needs to do to air a relatively new movie is go down to a video store and rent it for the night. There is a lot more to it like.
