ummmm... Since apple released Itunes and "defeated" the threat of piracy on the music industry. They offered the same immediate ease of use offered by torrent sites, and offered low prices and deals wherever they could.

Valve is trying to imitate that with Steam.

personally, i don't give a shit about purchasing digital files

if I buy music, I want a full CD case with CD.

and I do buy CDs from small local bands I like, and get them signed.

looking back I'm mad I didn't get a White Tie Affair album signed when I saw them last year, since now they're getting big.

Oh, I could care less about music piracy NT. Hell, I rip the audio off of youtube videos all the time.

Still, I go to the Zune Marketplace or Itunes for high quality music files.

I have to give apple credit for having an extremely extensive marketplace. They have the most obscure stuff...
