Windows users screwed (v 2.0)

This virus is really only a risk to idiots and pirates. As long as you have a legitimate copy of windows, and are smart enough to keep it updated, you'll be good. On top of that, if you have any form of real virus protection, you're perfectly safe.

Would AVG Free be good enough?

Just make sure your Operating System stays up to date.

I just got AVG too.

It works pretty good.

I would go with norton or mcAffee.

Norton slows down your computer like hell.. I had it but got rid of it.. Too overprotective...

speaking of viruses, my parents computers always got viruses, and they'd always blame me, but then i got my own comp, and its been running perfectly ever since i got it....and i pirate like shit, but i pirate smart

I've had the same Compaq I'm using right now for over 6 years, and it works fine as a work computer.

Obviously not the one I play games on, but still a good computer.

Is Norton good enough? Also my computer keeps asking me to update my virus protection, and when I do it goes to live update and when it tries to connect to live update.com it never does. It slows down my computer by a lot and doesn't do anything or make any progress, any tips or ideas on what i should do?

I have got about 60 for my Windows XP(And all but a few work!), dating from 1992 t0 2007, and its a 2001 PC tat was updated once in 2003 with a slightly better graphics card...
