Message to all PC gamers

I have just been in around 6 left 4 dead versus games. Each of them ended in early failure due to lack of communication. The root cause? NOBODY HAS A FUCKING MIC

I'm growing very tired of this trend. When you have a system that at least costs $800 dollars... you should be able to afford a twenty dollar mic. Anyone who says their mic is "broken" is a liar.

Get a mic you ass holes.

This is especially annoying in a game like left 4 dead. The game is all about co-operation. When you get pinned by a hunter, you scream "HELP! HELP!" until your teammates come to the rescue. typing "help" takes far too long, and is much less attention grabbing.

Get a mic or GTFO!

People who often play online PC games and do not own a mic deserve to be gassed

Wow recon. That's a little extreme. I dont have a game that requires a mic as a priority on my comp so I dont give a damm.

I don't play FPS games on my computer, and RTS games work fine with text, so I'm just going to keep my $20.

well, since I play games on a consol, and have a mic, I guess i'm set...

As civ said, I dont play FPSs on the computer. So go Nazi on someone else!

I rarely play online games on the PC, although I do play a shitload of PC games in general.

However, my mic actually IS broken.

I've got a head set, though the left ear is starting to go out.

umm, i mostly play RTS games as well.
So there is no need for me to get a mic.

You can use a mic in DOW2, but I think it's pointless. Minimap pings are there for a reason besides annoying your allies.

I'm not talking about RTS games. I'm talking about shooters, or games like left 4 dead, where cooperation is absolutely necessary.

People get on a team with no mics, and they rage quit because there's no communication. Some are used to this shit, but going from 360 (where shitty mics are packaged in) to this is just annoying.

I don't understand why these people buy games like this and don't go out and get a mic.

I prefer my FPSs on the console.

I hardly ever play shooters on PC. They play better on console.

I prefer the pc in terms of control, but for me there's no denying that a couch is better than my rubbish computer chair

Plus i can play xbox in bed. I like my bed.

I break my Mics when I get angry and smash them against the wall

ive also broken a keyboard, 3 mice, a monitor, and my hand

A mouse is more precise sure, but they still play more natural on console, the mood is just right.

PC is better.

Exactly.
It's harder to aim on computers, but you have more precision, so it is actually better. I'm the kind of guy who clicks the mouse in between breaths while aiming the sniper rifle, but then I hopped onto a Halo 2 tournament on the Xbox and got a battle rifle at one point in time. I saw someone halfway across the beach on Zanzibar and took aim, expecting to miss.
First time, I hit. Second time I hit. Third time, I died.
Upon closer experimentation, I realized that there was an auto-aim, something completely despised by PC gamers.

Seriously, Dud and I had a PM debate over the supposed superiority of Consoles to PCs for playing games. Since both of us are banned, it is irretrievable, but I was on top when it petered out, and he was banned before we could start it back up again.
