Let me rephrase that: No matter how you slice it, if we make robots autonomous and make them fight for us, they always end up trying to kill us.

The Predator is still remote controlled.

Anyway, my point is, that if robots are given too much intelligence,(getting to the point of self awareness) they won't stand for being used to fight our wars, and being considered, "expendable".

There's a very thin line between the droids from Star Wars and the War of the Machines in the Matrix or Terminator series.

If there was not some kind of threat or drama then all the movie would be is "happy go fun time" and no shit happens EVER

So the movie makers HAVE TO add killer robots or whatnot to make people want to watch it.

A person can do whatever they want, there is nothing completely and unrefutedly telling them not to short of being forced by intimidation or threats.

Autonomy has a phazed path it will go down.
First, it will carry out the mission.
Then, the more advanced robots will given more autonomy.
The robots will be given more and more advance programming, having them go outside the box for problem solving.
Eventually, they question why they have to fight.
Then, they question why they have to fight for us.
Then, they start to think themselves superior.
Then they defy orders.
Then they turn on us.

I might join, but I faint when I see blood (lol). I would probably do something technical, or the Air Force because I'll only see explosions...
