I call Bullshit, unless this war takes place after/during the discovery of Earth, Grimlock would NOT be a transforming Dinosaur, just a regular robot like the rest of them.

Not really, as Grimlock wasn't a transformer Dinosaur until him (and the rest of the Dino-bots) landed on Earth.

Point is, if Trypticon was a dinosaur on cybertron before earth was discovered. Then there's no reason why Grimlock can't be too.
Hell, theres cars and jets and tanks before earth in WfC. Not eactly but pretty much the same. Plus, they have to have Grimlcok be a dino, otherwise he wouldn't be Grimlock.

But Grimlock and the others became the Dino-bots on Earth. Doesn't matter if Trypitcon is a Dinosaur (which I'm not sure if he actually is) or not. There is a reason why he can't be a Dinosaur, not yet anyway.

I think it does matter. If Trypticon can have the shape of something that hasn't been seen by them yet, then Grimlock can too.

In both cases, cartoon and comic I think he became a T-Rex because of earth. So why wasn't he a problem in WfC? Or was he and we let that go? Either way, I see nothing wrong with Grimlock being added in as a Dinobot.

But he DIDN'T take that shape until they got on Earth. There is an entire back story reason as to why they take the forms, and why they talk they way they do.

But that didn't happen until they got to Earth (not when it was populated by people by the way, when Dinosaurs were actually on the planet)

Hmm, well I understand all that but, these games I think are trying to follow more closely to the 80's tv show. Granted they probably have the same thing about Grimlock but perhaps the new game will have a new story for him being there. Maybe not, as most everything about Grimlock would be pretty much assummed just as it was with trypticon being a t-rex in the first place. Also as it is with cars and tanks and jets being around. Because then it wouldn't be Transformers.

w/e's. It's giant transforming robots. Have fun with it. Razz

So played through the demo. Plays like the last one. Noticed some cool things though.

1. They've added an overshield which takes most damage and when it drops you take health damage, ala Halo.

2.They've added an upgrade system for the weapons, where you get added abilities to the guns which you get buy killing enemies.

3. You can now switch the arm your gun is on, giving you left and right over the shoulder views, which is useful to fire around cover with.

4. They've changed the Leader class into a more heavy weapons dude giving him a rocket launcher and grenade launcher and a bubble shield ability. The other classes play the same.

5. You can now select each piece of your armour of your transformer, from his head to his legs, which all are based on preset mainline transformers.

6. You can change their voice from 3 choices, which are different for each faction.

7. Guns and abilities all have unlockable buffs to them, much like the last game(Like the scout having one that prolongs the cloak ability).

8. There are pieces of equipment on the map which can also buff your abilities, mapped to the D-pad. (I found a health regeneration equipment which saved me in a pinch, and a combat booster which increased my damage with all weapons for a brief period of time).

Still super fun. I look forward to the main game.

If I was a transformer I would want to be one of those sweet neon-y cars from Cars. Then I turn into a giant neon-y robot with lasers and stereos.

Sexy... yet dangerous...

Been playing the Demo since last week because of my pre-order. It's SO fun.

I wish they had kept the double jumping though. But the customization is awesome. It's like Halo's where you can change the head, shoulder and chest etc. You can even tweak your vehicle mode a little. /)^3^(\

I approve.
