Re: Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon
Didn't people already do the "Apollo (Insert Number Here) finds aliens/alien tech on the moon"?
But eh, it looks okay, but i'll wait and see.

Re: Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon
Well strange that they already found (and kept) Alien tech secret for hundreds of years in the first one (Where they say Megatron was kept in a secret base).
So basically they will do what they did with the first one?
Also, unless those are mincons on the ship, I will not watch this movie.

Some parts take place before the events of Transformers 1 and 2, so they very well may be in the movie. It's supposed to deal with the Cold War, and Jet Fire was an SR71, so...

Frankly, I don't care, I was living in blissful ignorance until my sister showed me the damn trailer. Now I have the prospect of another really stupid plot.
For example, if the whole point of Sector 7 was to monitoring and learn from all recorded Transformers and their tech, if they had found a ship on the moon, why hasn't this come up before? And even if it is on the dark side of the moon, the dozens and dozens of sateillites we have pointing in that direction must of seen it. We searched the moon for soil samples water, and even life, and we couldn't pick up an giant slab of metal filled with giant robots? Please.

Re: Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon
Before time began, there was a Film.
We know where it comes from, and it holds the power to create money and fill them with followers.
That is how our franchise was born.
For a time we lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted a good story, others wanted to be greedy
And so began the bad sequels
A sequel that ravaged the world until the it was consumed by hate.
And the franchise was lost to the far reaches of the internet
We scattered across the world, hoping to find it and rebuild our credibility, searching every forum, every movie premise.
And just when all hope seemed lost, message of a new discovery drew us to a movie idea called....The Dark of the Moon.
BUT WE WERE ALREADY TOO LATE.
Welcome back, here I am post movie to tell you what I thought. If you want the short version: It's exactly what you all thought it was, a Micheal Bay Transformers movie. It's slightly better than Revenge of the Fallen, but not by much.
If you wanna stick around and he me bitchin' here's the long version.
WARNING! THERE WILL BE SPOILERS, WHICH I WILL TAG, BUT SERIOUSLY IF YOU ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE PLOT OF TRANSFORMERS 3 YOU NEED TO GO RE-EVALUATE YOUR LIFE.

- Spoiler:
- So all that stuff in the first trailer takes place in the first 5 minutes of the movie, almost shot for shot. There's an usual Optimus Monologue about the final days of the Cybertronian war and how their last best hope, a ship filled with experimental autobot technology was lost and ended up on the moon. The rest you all saw and know what happened next.
Bad CGI Obama (He gives Sam a medal for what he did in the last 2 films nothing super important) and JFK is loltacular. They looking like plastic models surrounded by real people.
Anywho, cut to the present and Sam now lives in Washington and has a new girlfriend instead of Megan Fox, called Carly, who's doing a very dodgy English accent (ELLO GOVERNA, LOOK AT EM AUTOBOTS YA TOSSA.) She's an improvement over Fox as her eye candy as she keeps her mouth shut and doesn't do the obnoxious crap she did, so I have nothing to complain about with her, just does her job fine.
He's out of College and trying to get a job before his parent arrive on their cross country road trip, but Komedy gold starts when they appear and the same awkward unfunny scenes with them, then he goes of to interviews and does quirky unfunny comedy to them, then John Malkovich, Malkoviches his Malkovich and Sam Malkoviches his Malkovich to gets the Job. (After a recommendation from a anonymous source).
We met Carly's boss; some corporate high flyer with a collection of vintage cars played by that guy from Gray's Anatomy and Sam gets jealous, bla bla bla same shit, different movie.
When then learn about a whole lot of crap about stuff on the moon and how Chernobyl was caused by a engine core from a damaged Autobot ship they tried to use as a reactor, which the Autobots try to retrieve, with those soliders from the last 2 films, but are intercepted by Laserbeak (Who fucking talks, ruining his inclusion) and Shockwave who says one word in English: Optimus.
His big weapon is that worm thing in all the trailers (ANYA, IT'S A GIANT WORM. THERE SINKING CITES WITH A GIANT ROBOT WORM!) And a arm cannon. Optimus shows up and does his thing and they retrieve the core which reveals to them that the Ark is on the moon and there pissed they didn't get the intel. They get told how Buzz Aldrin (And they get the REAL MOTHERFUCKING BUZZ ALDRIN to explain this mind you) and they explain that they retrieved some stuff from it, they go off in their spaceship (Which they apparently have now) to open the vault on the ship and find Sentinel Prime, the previous Autobot leader as well as the control rod for his master invention, the space bridge, capable of transferring matter across the universe.
Then we get Sam at work and harassed by, I'm not joking here DEEP WANG (Yes there is some homosexual jokes done with this character, HA HA HA) . Another conspiracy plot involving the murder of NASA staff that are tied to the moon operations, who are all murdered including DEEP WANG. And Sam Escapes after being attacked
That's all in the first long boring 45 of this film. To save your sanity and mine I'll give the cliff-notes for the next 2 hours (Yes it's as long as the last one, and it drags as much too).
Sam works out the Decepticons have been tricking them to get Sentinel Prime to retrieve the final rods to activate the Space Bridge, so they protect him, and then it turns out he is a traitor and formed a alliance with the Decepticons to stop the war (And as he's voiced by Leonard Nimoy, Bay has the fucking Nerve to make him say 'The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, as well as several Spock references in the film.)
America tells the Autobots to leave, so they do and their ship gets shot down.
So they take over Chicago, and their evil plan is to Bring Cybertron into Earth's Atmosphere and use the human race to strip Earth of it's resources to rebuild Cybertron (And the Decepticons kill all the inhabitants of the city, kind defeating their plan, and I have no clue why a huge planet like Cybertron's gravitonal field doesn't tear our planet to pieces). Also quick thing, Carly's boss turns out to be working with the Decepticons and kidnaps her to make Sam recon the Autobots plan before they flew off.
So the rest of the film is just the battle in Chicago, which is a very good action sequence with a lot Military presence (NEST, Seals, Army, Tomahawks, the same old Baygasm to the US army). Shia Labuttfuck fist fights Patrick Dempsey and then kicks his ass.
So it's 30 minutes of generic Decepticons being killed, and then Sentinel (Who is beaten by Megatron after Carly fucks with him and says and I quote 'You're Sentinels Bitch') And then Prime and Megatron fight which is over in 5 seconds. Prime then brutally murders him even though he is pleading to understand why he did what he did.
To conclude it's nowhere near as bad as the previous film, as there is no Skid and Mudflap the racist robots, No Leo, no Deceptisluts, very little random stupid humour, though traces remain. It mainly is just a big dumb action movie, and ater the last 2 films, it doesn't alter the formula much. Overall, It's never going to be a good set of films, but at least this one cut most of the crap and got to the robots fighting, which was what most people wanted.

It's certainly not a good movie, but it was very entertaining to watch. Didn't see it in 3D, which is a bummer, cause it would probably be pretty cool.

I saw this last Saturday, i thought it was very entertaining to watch, my only negative was that i had to pay $10.50 to watch it. I think $7 is more of a fair price...

3D is rather expensive for what it is.
I watched it in 3D, it made minor improvements to the viewing.

Re: Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon
Shots used in this film were taken from one Bay's previous movie, The Island, and added in. They were even edited over to include transformers fighting.
The rational behind this was that a film extra was rendered paralyzed from a cord snapping and hitting her during a scene that was suppose to occur here at this point of the movie. They removed the scene in respect to the family.
However, I still perceive it as being lazy. Although I agree with removing the scene from the movie out of respect, they could have filmed a different scene.
I will also point out he did the same thing with the first Transformers film in regards of using a shot from another of his previous films, Pearl Harbor.

There's a theater by me that is $5 a ticket. The catch is, the movies are old and have been in theaters for a while. Still new movies but their release date was say, a few months ago.

Ruski and I have a theater like that, it's really nice because I'm not well off money wise so if I wait I can watch quality movies. Our prices are better though. It's like 1.50 for a matineeDivine Virus wrote:There's a theater by me that is $5 a ticket. The catch is, the movies are old and have been in theaters for a while. Re: Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon
I saw it, and thought it was a lot better than Revenge of the Fallen.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to try and express half as much hatred as I have for the term "unfunny". To date, I've never heard anyone I know use it in practical, day to day speech. I've really only see it on the Internet, and I've seen it enough times to make me cringe.
Seriously, why do people use this word? Is it too much mental gymnastics to say "not funny" or "wasn't funny"? I don't know what it is about the word, but it just gets under my skin.
