?
Whatever image you intended to be there, is not there.
Bigger then Despicable Me? For me yeah, but I'd rather see Predators anyways.
I do believe that there is already a thread for Predators. ;)

Re: Predators
lol BB.
Anyway, I'm not gonna see it.
I saw one vid doc thingy where the director (forget his name) said "I want to make a film where all of the characters could star in their own movie. There are no stock characters here" and then I thought "But, you'r just going to kill 90% of them anyway. Why the hell would I, as a writer, want to sit through a film and watch good characters be brutally slaughtered by faceless monsters?"
That's what killed it for me.

Re: Predators
Because people don't care if a faceless character dies off. When you have deeper insight on a character, most times someone will find a quality in them they like. So in other words when they are being stabbed by the faceless monster, you actually care; slight as it may be ^^

Re: Predators
Exactly why I'm not going to see the movie.
I don't want to see characters I care about dying. Especially not en masse like this.

Re: Predators
When it doesn't need to be? Yeah, I don't.
But belive me, I'm passionate about my movies. There's nothing I love more then seeing a great movie in the theaters. I'm just saying that I don't let something like the passing of a fav character make me pass on viewing a movie. Because as much as I'll be like, "no! not him/her! He/she was awesome! damn." I'll just be like, "oh well, back to the movie."
That's just me.

I know, I'm so sad too because I thought I could see it before my work shift today but turns out I can not.Gauz wrote:Heard the movie was good, can't see it today though

Cinecast.us. Check that site around tomorrow or the next day and the movie is sure to be there.

Nice ninja edit.
And in this movie, it's not just one or two characters.
It's probably going to be almost all, if not all of them.
And it just pisses me off.

But also, They have to die. It wouldn't be entertaining if they didn't. That's what Predators do, they kill people.
Especially with the way they set up the movie, different people from different professions that make them some of the best killing machines on the planet, going againt THE best killers in the universe. Someone's going to die. Probably more then 1.
And I get exactly what you mean, nobody likes/wants to see their fav character that they've seen through-out the movie get killed off. All I'm saying is in a Predators movie where there is more then 1 predator, it's kinda to be expected. Which is probably why your not seeing it, huh?
(note: I'm not trying to change your opinion Pie. just sayin'.)

That's a misguided thought. Look at the original Predator. You had Mac, Billy, Dutch, Dillion (Johnson must of taken lessons by this guy). They all had there own personalities and were all characterised with the mission to take out the village and afterwards when they start to breakdown in fear of the predator. Hell Mac goes batshit and opens up on the forest with a minigun.
This team was badass and all could of had their own movies, which made their deaths mean more than the normal slock horror crap they churn out annually.

I never said it hadn't been done before, or that the original Predator hadn't done it.

Re: Predators
Well you'd think if they're going back to the roots of the franchise, that's what you'd get.
If they can pull it off, they're may be hope for the Predator franchise after the shitfest of the AVP films.

Re: Predators
I've heard from multiple reviews that 1. It does bring it back to the Predator roots for the most part and 2. It's the best in the series since the original.
I think they can pull it off, but that's just my opinion.
