Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Rush is where the attackers have their own base they spawn at and a limited number of troops to attack the defenders. The attackers have to destroy the M-COM stations at each defenders base until no more remain. You can accomplish this by setting a charge on the M-COM station and defend it until it detonates, or collapse the building the M-COM station is in if it is in one. The attackers start with 73 expendable players and the defenders have an infinite number of players.

I downloaded the demo. And me and my friend are playing it non stop. He likes the sniper class, I like assault. We've both been averaging around 20 kills a game. It's amazing.

Does anyone know weather this is similar to BF:1942.
As I imagine it, BFBC2 is a cross of MW2 and BF:1942, but that is a guess.
It will have some similarities to Battlefield 1942. Differences will include a fully destructible environment, modern weapons, vehicles, and equipment (notably the revive mechanic from Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142), new maps, a single player campaign, better physics and hitboxes, a lack of player-flown fixed-wing aircraft, the addition of several game types other than control points, a release on the console in addition to the PC, and a lack of mod tools (because the engine is just so damned complex now, what with the destructible environments).
Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
It plays a lot like BF2 but with a better engine, and a much more cinematic experience. I think it's also going to be a bit more linear.

Try playing as an Engineer or as Recon. The RPG and C4 destroy tanks and other vehicles easy.Nocbl2 wrote:Tanks seem to rape me everywhere I go...

could it be because they carry a 105mm cannon while you carry a 7.62mm or 5.56mm gun?Nocbl2 wrote:Tanks seem to rape me everywhere I go...

If tanks are raping you, your team is probably not using its vehicles to their fullest capabilities.

At some stages of the map, the defending team doesn't have the best access to vehicles and is reliant on engineers to help with RPGs.
Unfortunately, most of the beta players only care about kill:death ratios and as such will only go Assault class or Recon and either run around knifing, or just camp and lose for the team. That's why I go Medic, because it ensures that our team will have more forces active at any given time than the other team, because 9 times out of 10, the other team doesn't have a Medic doing their job properly.

Eventually, people will catch on that Medics and Engineers (on vehicle maps, at least) will have a better SPM than Assault and Recon, and then those classes will catch on more. Medic is probably one of the most popular classes in Battlefield 2.

You know what's really fun? Using the UAV. Haha yeah flying that little thing and killing people or destroying the vehicles is great.

Yeah, but until then the matches will be pretty fucking stupid. I don't understand how people can see a tank rolling into their base and just think "Hmm, maybe if I continue to camp in this tower then it'll die eventually somehow" hurrrrrrr
And yeah, they do get huge scores. I get an average of 3000 points or so, most of the time being the highest in the server, highest on my team, and highest in my squad. I go Medic and just run around, getting the occasional kill, but mostly throwing down medpacks at appropriate places, defribbing those who are down and important, and just helping out.
And how do you get the UAV?

There's a computer terminal at the spawn point where you fall down onto the map. You use that to control the UAV.Ziggy wrote:And how do you get the UAV?

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
I go engineer sit in a turret and open fire on defense, i drive a tank on attack. i get massive point bonus's for suppressing with the heavy machine gun.
If the enemies use tanks i take cover and rocket the hell out of it until it explodes.

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
It's the only game I play now and it's a demo
The only thing I don't like though... is that you can get bad teamates at any time. Last game the opposition ROFLstomped my first two bases and objective A of the third, if it wasn't for me and my superior squad, we'd be fucked. I was the medic, reviving and healing my squad like a fucking surgeon while gunning down the people running to the hangar.
Another thing, how the FUCK is the UAV's gun capable to shoot down A FUCKING APACHE AND BLACK HAWK?! That and how do you use the gun on the UAV >.>

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
The way to use the gun on the UAV is...
Press the R trigger once and the white square will show up along with the orange targeting square. Then, while the white square is still there, press the RB button and a single missile will shoot out and you can direct it using your orange targeting square. One the orange square disapears. Then it's reloaded and you can fire again the same way.
Sounds complicated I know, but when you actually do it at least once, then you'll see that it's really not.
