But yeah, no, I think if it were a suit that was damaged, or critically flawed, they might have not used it, and the museums may not have taken them in in the first place. Which arises another question, is it possible to buy an obsolete spacesuit from a museum that is clearing house or renovating with new exhibits?

Forty thousand dollars.
Even if it was damaged, it's still worth a lot to collectors, and museums would still have taken them.

but the issue at hand is if you asked nasa to sell and offered any price for it. would they sell to some random person an outdated spacesuit. and if not nasa what about a museum.
