Leaked Halo Reach pictures

Well to be fair the pictures are extremely blurry and it is hard to pass a justified judgement on the engine at this point in time.

It's just that after 8 years of the Halo formula I would like to see some change in things. I know ODST was supposed to be this, but I want a full game with full multiplayer, not glorified DLC.

This game had better be grandiose on the most gigantesque of scales.

I don't think that's part of the warthog. It's awfully far forward, almost in the cockpit, compared to the LAAG and Gauss guns that were centered in the bed of the hog. It seems to be part of a ship or something that goes off screen.

I couldn't agree more, I'm getting a stronger and stronger feeling of deja vu when I play a new Halo game. I mean so little has changed since Halo CE. That was a good game, I doubt any of would deny that, but It feels like I've played it four times now and it's getting beyond a joke.

Well, the previous four games were all part of the same trillogy, so it makes sense that everything was pretty similar. We can't really tell anything about gameplay from what we've seen, though.

From what we've seen, this could be a squad-based game (like Ghost Recon or Republic Command), a conquest game (like Battlefield or Battlefront), an RPG (like Fallout 3 or Borderlands... however unlikely), or maybe Bungie came up with something entirely new. It could even be a combat commander game like Battlezone (a guy can dream, can't he?).

The environment style looks similar to previous Halos, but that says absolutely nothing about the game.

(yah, I know it is squad-based, but that doesn't mean that's all there is to it)

Just a reminder, MS stated that halo: Reach was an FPS game.

Technically, all of the games I mentioned are FPS games.

Well, you mentioned RPG, TFPS, squad-based, and what ever battlezone is. I assume MS meant Halo: Reach will be an FPS same as the others.

It is definitely squad-based. You can even see the squad status in the picture with the needler, just to the right of the radar.

well theres no dought in MY MIND that there will be a squad there...mabe not squad based but connected to a squad like ODST...

So, im hoping for a squad based shooter, like Brothers in Arms:Hells Highway. I havent played the others so i dont know if thats the only squad based one

I meant in the sense that John, Linda, and James were assigned "Blue Team" and did not fight on Reach. We'd likely be playing as members of "Red Team," which contains members of Blue Team. Sorry for the confusion.
