Political Compass
Political Quiz
I was surprised to find myself further left than right, and not as far up as I would have expected. It's an interesting quiz. Now, rather than debating (I'd have put this in the debate section otherwise), I want you all to take the quiz and then post your results here.

Re: Political Compass
I did one like this before.
Unknowingly I turned out to be a hardcore Communist & Fascist. Extremely High taxes and strict laws. Back then I thought that all government were all good and pure, and TBH most of them are. if heaps of country had it this way for a century or so, we could end up with another nutcase somewhere along the line and no one would question him and he would just exploit the hell out of the country, like what Robert Mugabe is doing now, or possibly even worse, like another Hitler or something!
Watching V for Vendetta kinda changed my mind on Government, even though I know it would not be so extreme.
Anyways:
Quite a boring result, hmmn. Although I thought I would have been more Fascist than Anarchist, I think I believe in things like abortions and gay rights and freedom to have your own religion and stuff.
EDIT: Oh yea, I just remembered, the text in my sig is complete fascist. It's pretty much the Government saying "If you put your unconditional faith into us, we can come together and become a great country, just don't question us because that is not very faithful, K?"
As you can probably tell, it was made by a fascist party.

I thought it'd be much closer to Fascism, not Communism.

Re: Political Compass
EDIT: I realise I had misunderstood a couple of questions so I took the entire test over.
Didn't really do any difference, I just went a bit more towards fascism and communism.

Re: Political Compass
Pretty much what I've always said.
More towards the middle, but still on the left.
I think I confused it at one point though.
I strongly agreed to all of the scientific questions, and the religious questions, lol.

That is sort of more torwards Communism. Fascism is more the top, Communism/Socialism is more towards the bottom. Left and Right refer to economy in this case.

Ah yes I see now. I must have misread the analysis.
Communism is so diluted these days. It's pretty much authoritarian socialism these days. And as you can see from the analysis, Stalin was pretty much fascist, which everybody said (back in those days) was the opposite of Communism, and what he said was against his ideals entirely, which clearly shows Stalin was pretty damn far from real Communism. In a true Communist state, there is no state, which is pretty stupid.

Fascism is total control, anarchy is no control.
I don't see how anyone thought those weren't opposites.

Re: Political Compass
OH SNAP! The funny thing is, I'm in full support of the public option and all that. Libertarian really only applies to my views towards uh... personal rights, and foreign policy, and all that jazz. Normally I score a tad to the left for economics, but I answered a few things differently this time around.
The question about whether or not international corporations should primarily serve the benefit to humanity confused me. I mean, in a perfect world they should be, but that just doesn't happen with capitalism. Corporations should help society, but they will ALWAYS be more focused on making money.

hurr durr.
Russia (perceived as Communist) fought against Germany (perceived as Fascist) in WWII. Pretty simple, right? I didn't say they were opposites. I said that people saw them as opposites, because they were clashing.

The soviets and the Nazis were both very controlling, but fascism and communism are opposite forms of control. Fascism is social control, communism is economic control.

I honestly don't remember what I was even trying to argue because I'm so tired.
Why the fuck am I wasting my time at 5AM like this?
My apologies for any hostility tonight, I guess I've just been bored.

Under Kruschev and others, the social control was relaxed.
And now for my score...
I scored closer to Adolf Hitler than Maggie Thatcher. I assure you, no one is more surprised than I am.
