Regular coke, in my opinion, is to sweet. It leaves a taste in your mouth, which is a bad thing.

I prefer diet Coke, as it goes perfectly with any possible meal imaginable. It is the perfect palate cleanser, as it leaves no taste.

If this is between Coke and Pepsi, having drunken both frequently, I have to go with Coke. Pepsi leaves this funky aftertaste in my mouth that I don't much care for. If we're talking about the brands, well, I believe Coke has Fanta, and thus instantly wins.

I admit that lately Coke has seemed a little sweeter, but still, I've never thought of it as very sweet.

Well the bottom line is that it leaves an aftertaste... and unless it's a minty taste... I can't stand after taste... of anything.

Diet coke is basically carbonated water with a really nice, refreshing taste that goes away pretty quickly. It doesn't have any after-taste.

Now for me, it's the opposite.

I never get an aftertaste when I drink normal pop, but whenever I drink diet (and this is the reason I usually don't, mind you) there's an aftertaste.

Pepsi is best.
