All I can say that hasn't been said before:

District Nine is the first movie I've seen in theaters in TWO YEARS that hasn't disappointed me.

I just saw District 9, and all I have to say is this, greatest movie ever made since Die Hard.

Hey, remember in the ads when the guy was axeing the prawn "why are you here?" and the prawn replied: "we just want to go home"

was that ever in the movie?

It is one of those special Google days where their logo is a link, The first link brings you to a picture of a prawn.

nope. i don't think it would have ever fit into the main storyline.


but it does annoy me when movies do that, or worse, TV SHOWS. like Californication....when its showing the "last time on californication..." it then shows scenes that didn't even happen, although it fit into what happened, its not actually what happened specifically.

I think they could of fit it in the first few minutes of the film, when they were talking about the Prawn's arrival to Earth, but it wasn't nessecary.

I think if they did that, it would make them seem a little bit to intelligent to have been corralled into slums.

True, but it would of been nice backstory to Christopher Johnson's character.

Yeah, there did seem to be a large gap in prawn intellect, like he was a higher caste of prawn, maybe he was just older.
