Honestly, I'd just save up a nest egg to get an apartment, and be able to have some jobs lined up for now.

Now, this is all assuming it doesn't work out, there's still the chance it might.
Just don't depend on the two of you living together for the rest of your lives, and you should be alright.

Its actually the exact reason I do get women. Being able to ultimately understand yourself and them is an amazing tool.

Everything I know about social psych can be used to reinforce a relationship to its highest level and keep it there as well as minimize hurt on both sides of the equation.
