Best Xbox 360 Game

I recently got an Xbox 360 and I have been given the offer to get any 1 game.
Have any ideas; I all ready thought of the following:

Halo 3
Halo Wars
Fallout 3
Oblivion
X men Origins Wolverine
L4D
Crackdown
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 1
Skate 2
Bioshock
Far Cry 2
GTA 4
COD 4
COD 5
Tom Clancy's Hawx
Assassin's Creed
Resident Evil 5
Saint Rows 2
Fable 2
Guitar Hero ( all)
Rock Band
Rock Band 2

As I can see by your signature, you play gmod. A rather popular Half-LIfe 2 mod. Don't get left 4 dead on xbox. Get it on PC, because obviously you are familiar with Valve games. Don't fail us, please.

EDIT: Crackdown is fun, so is COD

Halo 3 - Ok single player campaign, good online play, forge is fun but can get repetitive after awhile depending on what kind of person you are (whether you like designing things or not).
Halo Wars - Good campaign (especially cutscenes) and offline skirmish can keep you busy for a good amount of time. Online is alright but Im leaning towards the below average mark since getting rushed get really repetitive and finding an actual "good" player is hard.
Fallout 3 - Can keep you busy for a LONG time. Lots of replay ability but no respawning dungeons kills a great deal of it. The DLC is a huge plus for it though. Graphics are amazing.
Oblivion - Prefered this over Fallout 3 by far. Graphics may not be AS good as Fallout 3 but it has a MUCH larger area to explore and more side quests as well as tons more dungeons and a more like-able environment. Again if you can get the DLC, then the fun factor will sore even higher.
X men Origins Wolverine - Never played it so cant comment.
L4D - Online seems to be the main focus for the game even though I havent played it but from the videos that I've seen, it looks quite fun. Not too sure about offline though.
Crackdown - Never played it and have no intention to.
Gears of War 2 - Great for offline as the campaign is a good length and keeps you interested for most of it, as well as the offline MP matches against bots, AND horde mode. Online is lacking but it has great potential. It just needs to be fixed up.
Gears of War 1 - Campaign is a bit more gritty than in Gears 2 as well as it being shorter. Online is a GREAT deal more fun than it is in Gears 2 IMO.
Skate 2 - Never played it.
Bioshock - Great game. Pretty good story surprisingly, graphics are amazing, DLC doesn't really make or break the game and it has some good horror elements.
Far Cry 2 - Never played it but looks quite promising.
GTA 4 - I absolutely fucking hate the entire series so Im going to leave it at that.
COD 4 - Somewhat good single player campaign, online is..well...you can either love it or hate it. Still a fun game though.
COD 5 - Never played it and have no intention to. COD series needs to give it a rest for awhile.
Tom Clancy's Hawx - Looks pretty fun but I havent actually played it or gotten around to getting the demo.
Assassin's Creed - Sounds like an all round solid single player game. Never played it but some people say that it can get repetitive.
Resident Evil 5 - Pretty fun offline as mercenaries and campaign are good. Not scary and doesnt have much horror elements. Online is bleh.
Saint Rows 2 - Never played it. Dont want to.
Fable 2 - Never played it. Never will. Just doesnt stand out to me like Oblivion did.
Guitar Hero ( all)
Rock Band - Im putting GH and Rock band in one section here. They look like fun but I havent got around to getting them.

Different being that I cannot tell you if you will like it because it is a completely different game to most, Eg: Guitar Hero is Completely Different.

My favourite xbox game was Morrowind, the prequel to Oblivion. It's cheap too - so maybe you could get another game. Of course if you're talking 360 then I'd have to say Halo 3 is what I played the most. Shame I lost it.

Imo CoD 5 is good. I heard a lot of shit about it and was doubtfull when I bought it but I effin loved it. Much more fun campaign than CoD 4 at certain moments.

I didn't find CoD5 to be fun whatsoever

just in the first 5 levels there are 2 situations with the your character being captured by the enemies and barely saved. that's absolute nonsense.

I would stay away from most of those games unless you have LIVE. Halo 3 and halo wars are only worth their online, as they campaigns are on the suckish side. CoD 4 is alright but the perks are a bitch. CoD 5 is the same thing as 4, but it sucks a lot more. Stay away from both GoW games. HAWX is fun, but a little hard to get into. If you like RPGs then I would go for Mass Effect or Fallout. L4D is a co-op game. Either play with friends or just ignore it. If you like music games, get rock band 2.

The best game I can suggest for you is the orange box, because of portal.

It all depends on your preferences, for example I loved Gears 2 as it had considerable improvements to graphics and gameplay, and the campaign was much more fun.(if you can stand the horrible story)

However, if you must get something get Halo 3 and COD 4, those are absolutely required. I wouldn't get Halo Wars unless you had money to spare.

Halo 3 probably has the most replayability, there are a lot of different gamestyles included, from epic hardcore teamwork MLG, to good aim and reaction Snipers and SWAT, to Hardcore Veichliar Combat in Squad Battle, to basic killing in Team Slayer and somewhat Lone Wolves, to Mongoosing, to fooling around with friends doing random Custom Gametypes (Grifball, Infection, Suicide Bombers, Duck Hunt, Bumper Cars, and many others).

X-men Origins is okay and satisfying while it lasts, but it's very very short. I brezzed through it in a few days, and once you finish the rather short story, there isn't really much you can do.

It'a an enjoyable distraction, but's it's not the best 360 game.

The Orange Box, Fallout 3, BioShock, Oblivion, Mass Effect and COD 2 are all contenders.

Oh and I own every building in Fable II, and my reward? Nothing. Sad
