I need to read those books. I bought that really nice 25 dollar combination book of all the hitchhiker stories. IT's soooooooooo long.

Yes but it's worth a look at. Douglas Adams had a intriguing sense of humour

It is. The film was okay, but the book and the radio and tv seies was better.

the [american] movie tried to make it have a plot...
it doesn't have one, that's what's good about it

Started off as a radio show that got converted to tele. Then that got converted to book form. Then that got converted to film.
I don't know what they were trying to do with the film... It just didn't have a hope in hell. But to be fair to them - it was a good film, and they pulled it off pretty well.
I've read the first two books. Were awesome, but I prefer Rankin.

I liked Stephen Fry as the voice of the book though. He was perfect for the role.
