To name a few
Well, he attempted to fix Fannie May and Freddie Mac in order to prevent an economic melt down of the housing market, but was blocked by Congress.
And he rallied the country after 9/11, and then took the fight to the terrorists.
He took an unstable dictator out of power and revealed a scandal within the UN that was keeping them from doing their job correctly.

Into a war that led to fighting another country that wasn't involved.Rotaretilbo wrote:

That dictator should have been taken out at a later time.Rotaretilbo wrote:

And we should've never entered that country in the first place, mostly because there were no weapons of mass destruction that he was using against us.
He charged unnecissarily into a war with the wrong country at the wrong time. Sadaam needed to be taken down, but not while we were chasing after a completely unrelated enemy, that Sadaam actually wanted nothing to do with because he didn't want us involved again.

we did find weapons grade nuclear material in the country and as soon as we announced we were going in our satellites detected nuclear signatures crossing the border into Syria but it was barely covered, if not at all, by the mass media.

Re: Do you Think Former President Bush was a bad president? 2.0
There's no "He was a good president who did bad things." Essentially, he was a Nixon. Nixon did great things, but his paranoia doomed him, and the 'lessons' learned from him poisoned politics for decades.
Fannie Mae... Freddy Mac... Not corporations. Government entities. Receiving support from the government, something we call "UNFAIR COMPETITION". The BoD of Freddy Mac even paid a lobbying firm two million to convince Republicans to not back a bill that would have increased supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac.
Whenever somebody talks about this crises as the failure of free-market capitalism, they are either lying or misinformed. It is SOCIALISM that got us into this mess, and more socialism won't help.
The first time around, when we kicked his butt into the next year, Bush the Senior called for a general uprising of the populace, and claimed that the US was coming in to clean house.
It never happened, because we were afraid of another Vietnam. We were afraid that we'd be in the Middle East for decades to come, and we were right. But what made us right was our refusal to intervene when the time was right, when we made a promise.
Any wonder why the Iraqis don't trust us?
Yeash, he did.PiEman wrote:Oh? Did he now?Rotaretilbo wrote:

No, Pieman. He should have been taken out sooner.PiEman wrote:That dictator should have been taken out at a later time.Rotaretilbo wrote:

Using that line of non-logic, Pieman, we shouldn't have been taken surprise at Pearl Harbor, because the Japanese attacked.PiEman wrote:And we should've never entered that country in the first place, mostly because there were no weapons of mass destruction that he was using against us.
Would like a source for that.tiny tim wrote:we did find weapons grade nuclear material in the country and as soon as we announced we were going in our satellites detected nuclear signatures crossing the border into Syria but it was barely covered, if not at all, by the mass media.

He was told that there was WMD's in Iraq, there was no way he, or anyone else in his postition, could have known differently.
Also, i was at a church group and we were talking about people with influence over our lives, and they said Barak Obama, and the place went nuts with cheering. lol.

Except for seeing into every place in Iraq such weapons could have been contained....which happened....
btw, Dick Cheney wanted the war. He even predicted it in 1996, the video is on youtube.
