He's almost single handedly destroyed his own creations.

He really should have left them alone.

Bungie came up with the idea, Microsoft now owns the IP and the control the franchise.

You know they're there's a problem if the original creators of the brand are on the way out. They must know their original vision is getting fucked up.

Part of me is glad that Halo 3 : ODST is the last Halo game by Bungie, and after it's release Bungie will wash their hands of it.

Hopefully. It's sad though to see such a good series die. Perhaps they will be clever and make Marathon it's own IP, even while it's the sequel to Halo?

I have sad feeling after ODST, I'll lose interest in Halo, as with Bungie gone and Microsoft driving it into the ground, I'll probably move on to better things.

A shame really.

I estimate that I won't be done with the prequel to Isolation for the next two years, so I'll keep watching.

i'm gonna stick with halo.... there is a SLIGHT chance that microsoft will not milk it... and nother game might be released that is good enough to call a true halo game

Personally, all my hopes for the Haloverse (And Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, and Terminator) rest on my acquisition of a time machine.

Halo: Combat Evolved is the best Halo game and Microsoft doesn't care about it. It's perfect!

Halo 2 wasn't that bad, and Halo 3 was still decent. CE was still pretty awesome though... if they would give it a new coat of graphics I bet it would be a major competitor with modern games. Just add a few things like a map maker and extra multilayer maps/gametypes and you'd have one of the best games ever made in the history of gaming (right next to pong, galaga, CNC, Half Life, and Portal).
