Foreign or Domestic (cars)
Foreign or Domestic
What kind or car would you stick by?
Expensive?
Cheap?
Foreign?
Domestic?
I would personally have to go with Domestic vehicles.
My family owns Ford and GM vehicles(mostly Ford)
They get the job done, they are cheap, have sufficient gas mileage and survive winter.
For example, one of our vehicles is a Ford Ranger, it is 18 years old(older than I am) and it continues to run smoothly. Its a workhorse of a truck and is cheap and efficient. Its not overpowered like other trucks are, but can survive the conditions around here, which is pretty good for a vehicle that isn't all too beefy.

Re: Foreign or Domestic
Frankly, the US companies just don't make them the way they used to. Older cars might still be reliable, but the new stuff is practically worthless as far as operation life goes. I voted German, because as much as I want to support US car companies, they aren't being build up to standard, and it is at least partially their own fault they're in trouble now.

hmmm...
It all depends on which company and what car you are talking about.
I know Ford and GM have some very dependable vehicles that they release every year or so. I trust Ford the most for a cheap yet durable vehicle, because for as long as I've been alive thats what they have delivered.
Their situation is partially the fault of their retarted CEO's and a bad economy at the same time.

Re: Foreign or Domestic
I picked U.S because they work and are durable.
Good enough MPG and survives the winter. Thats what matters to me.
I actually almost never see any German cars around here. Most foreign vehicles tend to get torn up very quickly during the winter, which is why not to many people use them here anymore.
*and yes, i know that they can re-fitted to be better in the winter, but they still are not as good as alot of the U.S. vehicles during Winter*

They're going to start soon.
They'll do what they always do:
1. Find a brand name.
2. Precisely copy a few of their cars.
3. Market them under some new company name (Cheng Wa, Duck Zu ect...)
4. Completely ignore trade and copyright laws and get away with it.
5. ???????????????
6. Profit!
