In my opinion, yes. My experience with roll20 left me wishing it was as robust and versatile as MapTools. The only downside to MapTools is that, to take advantage of that robust versatility, you need to have a basic understanding of coding. The area where MapTools really shines for me is in the macros. The roll20 macros seemed really limited in what I could do, especially as far as display goes. MapTools just integrated HTML with its code, so you just use HTML to control the output.

That does sound nifty. I'll have to make sure Tyler knows since he was musing about running a game sometime in the near future.
