This is a very beginner friendly game. I have character sheets that even explain how to do most actions.



Go ahead and think of character backgrounds while we look for 1-3 more players. Game will originally be set in New York and probably move from there.

It's a zombie campaign a few days/weeks into the outbreak. Characters grounded to reality as much as that setting allows would be nice. Usually you want your characters backstory to correspond with what you will set your player stats as.

So you wouldn't want to make a backstory of a high school jock big into baseball/football then have a -2 STR and high INT.


Just a basic fluff on who your character is and what they were doing I guess when the Zombies attacked. The story will start with you guys under the protection of the National Guard. How you came into that would be good.

For skills you can choose any six of these to be "experts" in which gives you a +3 in use of that skill.

All these skills have sub skills that you generally don't have to wonder about but that i'll post here for reference.

Take Acrobatics, under the Acrobatics skill things like Balance, Dancing, Jumping and Rolling all fall under it so when you do one of these things you are using the Acrobatics skill and since those are skills you don't need training in you can do them all easily.

But if you look at Driving you need training to do all of them. You can't just put points into Drive and suddenly know how to drive a Helicopter while your character is a highschooler with no flight experience. You have to have a level of training to do it without a penalty.

I actually was DM'ing a campaign briefly early in 2016 prior to my parents house being lit on fire. I would recommend roll20 as a service for a campaign online. Discord works a bit better than Skype I think just because you can create different channels for when you need to speak with certain players privately.

If Tabletop simulator ever seemed like a good idea for D&D, DO NOT DO IT. Takes way too long to setup.
