Guy that ran it made a bunch of stupid mistakes, including using his personal email address linked to an account with the same name as one he used to promote SR when it first started out.

It's kind of silly, since the Silk Road helped people stay out of shifty drug deals with strange drugs cut with weird stuff. In a way, it allowed for "safe" (not really, I guess) drugs.

New Silk Road should be operational soon. I sure hope the new owner(s) take extreme caution when it comes to security.
Also, does anyone know if/how I can check my computer for any bugs placed by the FBI/NSA?

Usually makes it run faster for a bit too, until you install a bunch of stuff again.

But what if they bug your BIOS? (which I am told is totally possible. At least for macs. Which I don't ever use, btw.)

Re: Silk Road Seized
Just delete your system32 folder, Gauz. That's where the NSA keeps all their bugs.

Or clear your motherboard's ram
Or just flash your bios

I thought that's where microsoft kept their bugs. Either way, deleting it makes your system faster.Rotaretilbo wrote:Just delete your system32 folder, Gauz. That's where the NSA keeps all their bugs.
