Aliens: Colonial Marines

Anyone play this yet? What your opinion on it? I personally havent gotten it yet although Im hearing a lot of hate regarding it.

If you want a good Alien game then get "Natural Selection 2".


It handles running on walls like an Alien the best i've ever seen.

I'd just wait for a sale... The game was mostly disappointing, although moulteeplayir occasionally has it's moments. The marines don't sodomize the aliens in every match, at least.

The cinematics are suppose to be the best graphics in a game...not this game...

If the graphics didn’t suck more dick than Lindsey lohan, then it would be like a 6/6.5 game...but no, it is that bad.

I was looking at that awhile ago but the thought passed my mind that I wouldnt be able to play it much, seeing as how we're moving and for awhile my internet wont be as speedy as I would like it for a moulteeplayir based game.

As for Aliens CM, I dont know what happened after that e3 demo that was shown. The game NOW hardly even compares to it. Might just pick it up for PC during a Steam sale and hope that by some chance someone mods the visuals at least.

I just played more Natural Selection 2 today, is so much fun.


Think i've logged 30 hours into it so far.

My friend (H.R. Geiger "enthusiast") had really high hopes for this (and I assume he likes it, I haven't asked yet) so I wonder if I should break the news that it's terrible.

I feel as though I should, because he want's to be a game designer... and, well, you should favor good games over ... questionable games with favorable content? Even though AvP is a pretty stagnant and lame series now.

Heh... apparently they've already found a huge problem with the game's graphics.

The graphics config file that comes with the game only supports ancient graphics. Apparently, the most modern GPU it supports is from 2007. Modders have already put out tutorials to fix this and it sounds like it makes a huge difference, although I have yet to see a side-by-side comparison.

lol no wonder when i look at the faces, it reminds me of Halo 3 marines...

I think most people did, which is pretty aren't happy when they find that game is significantly poorer graphically and in gameplay to what was shown back then.
