Age of Empires Online
I've seen on steam that a few of you have it and it's gone Free to Play, so I'm thinking about downloading it. As an MMO, I don't expect it to be super fun starting up and I don't want to waste my time if it isn't any good. Does anyone have any thoughts on it?
Re: Age of Empires Online
I've heard that it's pretty bad, and very much a pay to win game.

I guess I wont waste my time then. Gratsi.
And Ang, that would make a lot more sense if I wasn't asking other people what they think about it because I'm skeptical.

I looked and it appears to be Microsoft Studios with a company Called Gas Powered Games, who apparently made the Supreme Commander games.

So Budget Price Blizzard?
Ironically I played a Demo of Supreme Commander 2 and it played exactly like Halo Wars did.

Yea, the first one, I will admit to having a similar experience as vigil in the demo for the second.

Re: Age of Empires Online
SupCom 2 is shit compared to the first one. It got rid of the large maps, the naval battles, the huge scale of the first, the unit variety, the defensive structure variety, and the economy. It took a massive game (supcom 1) and scaled it down a lot to make it more friendly to beginners. Supreme Commander 1 was considered the spiritual successor to Total Annihilation, and a lot of people that liked the first were angry at the second due to getting rid of so many features and scaling it down so much.
