its so all the parts time in together so they all fall in place.

hence why the van stays at the same speed while falling, he did say one part came early because there wasn't enough footage as well.

Technically though, for the sake of being correct, shouldn't the other frames of slowed whilst the fan was falling?

It's an issue with the amount of footage on each level. It becomes much more accurate once the fall actually starts.

Fair enough, i can see its as accurate as its going to get without the missing un-flimed bits.

That's mainly because all 3 dream levels and limbo are in play, and we have no footage of them sleeping on the plane.
