American Idol
SOOOO......
Civ has been on vacation with his family down in Florida in Disney World this past week.
I had just got a txt from him...stating that he tried out for American Idol. And I was like, "Bullshit...pics"
So he sent me a picture of the stage from the audience and I'm thinking, "SHIT!"
Now, this boy is a great singer, and if he makes it past to more auditions, we have to follow it xD
EDIT: I was just told he sang the opening of this:
LOL
CivBase Edit:
I didn't actually audition for the real American Idol. It was the "American Idol Experience" in Disney World. They let people audition for it. Those who make it through auditions get to perform on stage during the day's five shows and be voted on just like in the real American Idol. The winners of each performance continue on to the finale show, where the top five sing their songs once more and are voted on. The winner of the finale, however, gets a "dream ticket". This ticket can be used at any real American Idol audition to skip to the front of the line.
Needless to say, I didn't win. In fact, I had no hopes of even making it past the audition. It was spring break, one of the busiest times of the year in Disney World and while I'm a good singer... I was up against a large, more experienced competition. But hey, why not? After some coaxing from my mom, I did the audition. Interstitially, the guy who I auditioned for actually performed with Da Vinci's Notebook, the group who wrote the song I chose to sing. I don't know if it had an effect on my rating, but I didn't think I did near as well as I could have anyway. He said I sounded very good but there were only so many people he could admit.
Meh, I got over it in about... instantly. Like I said, I just did it for the experience. If I had the chance, I'd probably do it again too. It was pretty cool.

Re: American Idol
Really missed a opportunity there civ, you really should of gone on and sung this, exactly like the lead does.

I tried to finish it, but I blacked out in the middle of it with blood coming out my ears.Vigil wrote:Really missed a opportunity there civ, you really should of gone on and sung this, exactly like the lead does.
Anyways, the contestants this year are actually pretty good(from what I've heard)
I mean, I still don't watch the show, but at least the talent is above par.

Re: American Idol
I edited the first post with the real story. I was just joking around with Maeve when I said I was auditioning at American Idol and took a picture of the look-alike stage as "evidence." I didn't figure she'd post it on TCF lol.

You twit, you didn't give me all the information in the first place! >.<CivBase wrote:I edited the first post with the real story. Besides, I didn't take that as a joke... >.>
