MASS EFFECT 3 [now with spoilers]

Stopped reading posts again, because I'm scared of spoilers. I'm almost to the end of Mass Effect 3. Interestingly enough, I'm sensing a theme similar to the second have of Gurren Lagann going on, here.

Rot, all will be perfectly well until the lift at the end. You'll know when it happens. When you reach that point, just turn your xbox off and draw a doodle about what happens beyond that point. Trust me, you'll feel better about it in the end.

I say still get to the end and play it through. It's going to be a subject of a lot of discussion on this site and everywhere gaming related for quite a while until the DLC hits, and most likely after.

You need to see it with your own eyes and make your own opinion of it, don't let it be coloured by ours.

All I'll say is brace yourself, as there's a lot of heat surrounding it for a reason, so go in with low expectations.

Well the update to fix everything is apparently downloading right now on my computers so i'm playing the waiting game...

theres nothign wrong with the ending itself, just that it won't REALLY change no matter how you play.

Eh, That's the biggest problem with it, but there are some lore and character inconsistencies that need to be addressed.

So basically, what I'm getting is that the Mass Effect series was Gurren Lagann, except ten times as long, and the spirals lose. The ending can be summed up with a single image.



BioWare pushed the button. I will say, I'm disappointed by a railroaded ending. Mass Effect built all of its gameplay on your choices mattering. They mattered so much that they affected the next game in line! But the ending of Mass Effect 3? Nothing mattered, after all.

technically there are 26 different endgame circumstances, but none of the endings really flesh out what that means.

Yah... I've heard a dozen different numbers for the amount of game endings. All I see is one.

They are counting "different game endings" as "which fleet pops in to fight the Reapers on Earth and how successful they are in the fight before you land on Earth"

well, in some endings earth is destroyed. some earth is made a wasteland. and other variations like that.

The problem is the lack of depth as to show what that matters.

At the end of the day, every military of every sentient race is trapped in the Sol system without resources or a means out. Hell, per Mass Effect 2, there isn't even a fuel depot!

Geth Engineer is by far my favorite class ever now.


The drone is kick ass as fuck and the Hunter Mode is the shit. It lets you know where every enemy is.


It's charge up attack makes you surround yourself with a forcefield and hurt enemies around you at the cost of your shield power.

I just finished a Gold level where I had 3 of them with my Salarian Engineer.

I barely had to do anything, as the Overlord+Turrets just fucked shit up. I was mainly on cleaning duty.

If anyone other than NT has it on PC i'll play with you.

I don't have it on pc

and the geth turret is the same as the quarian engineers turret, and the melee sounds the same as the asari heavy melee.

the only new character i've got is a batarian sentinel.

I got lucky and unlocked both the Batarian solider and Sentinel in one super spectre pack.

I have yet to try them.
