Coding stuff for rainmeter is pretty simple, and they have some good tuts on the site. It's just finding a layout that looks awesome and works for you.

Note: I don't have desktop icons for Battlezone II: Forgotten Enemies, BF: Vietnam, BF: 2142, Battle for Westnoth, Chessmasters, Halo 2 Vista, Portal: Prelude, Global Agenda, Alliance of Valiant Arms, or Spiral Knights.

Why do you people all have those icons cluttering your desktop? When I still had Windows I used this thing called that Start menu. I also had a folder with some game shortcuts in it and, of course, Steam.

because in the long run, it can save you a lot of time if all you have to do is double click on the icon on the desktop

a folder full of game shortcuts is EXACTLY the same as having game shortcuts on your desktop... except you've now just added 1 extra step to playing them

It makes the desktop look a lot less cluttered though.

if you organize things on the desktop then its not cluttered. and you dont have to go into folders to start your games

Except this is a family computer so that everything was already cluttered with my parent's stuff.
