Saw it, and it was pretty meh. It was good, but it didn't change how I look at movies. Plus, they never really explained why the rock was so valuable.

It's a room-temperature superconductor. Today, metalurgists would kill, butcher, and rape their grandmothers and grandfathers to get their hands on that stuff. In that order.

Yes, I did see it float. However, I couldn't tell if it was from the little plate thing, or it did it on its own.

Both.
It wouldn't float over wood, but over a flat metal surface, it would generate a magnetic field that would levitate it.

Attempts to mine them proved disastrous, because of interference from the local wildlife, but also because the mountains weren't completely stable. Apparently, one of them rolled over when they were mining it...

I think I missed that part. I don't recall them saying that.

Yeah. Its in the Pandora Handbook, a manual printed for employees of the company, which was recently taken, added to, and published by naturalists.Felix wrote:Rasq'uire'laskar wrote:Yeah. That's what those mountains were made of.Felix wrote:Rasq'uire'laskar wrote:Both.

It's kinda like the Star Wars Encyclopedia, except for Pandora. You can pick it up at Hastings.

Ah. I wish they just explained a bit more about it. I mean they had three hours. Could at least give two-three minutes as to why they want them.

True, but those rocks weren't shiny enough to kill for.

And enslave them to dig the diamonds out of the hills.Lord Pheonix wrote:Worth Money

Hell, Diamonds are just shiny rocks and we kill entire tribes for em.
And hand them AK-47 knockoffs to kill each other with.
And get the children to dive into muddy, acidic pools of washoff from the hills, looking for pebble-sized diamonds with only a rubber hose to breathe through.
And shoot any of them who happen to kneel to the ground, whether they're tying their shoes or stealing a diamond.
And X-ray them as they try to leave the company grounds. In case they swallowed a diamond.
Man, it just makes me proud to be Human. What we lack in kindness and empathy, we make up with sheer creativity.
