its shape is pretty much the same basic shape as a human torso and pelvis, so its a very common excersize for character animation

as much as I detest anything done in the Manga style, I understand that it is all a matter of preference. everybody has to start somewhere with learning how to draw, and manga is as legitimate a place to start as any.

you have a strong start here, and I think that with some practice and the right information you could become quite a capable draftsman

that being said I did a quick paintover with some basic drawing techniques to help you in your next attempt.

mainly I went over anatomy and perspective. remember, even though you are doing a cartoon you still have to pay attention to and understand the anatomy to make it work correctly.

so heres the paintover. Please draw more and post your progress, I like seeing people do art

Heh, the eyes kind of bothered me too, when I looked at it. I'm not as hard on manga/anime as KrAzY, but there just seemed to be too much empty space on the right side of her face.

hands are indeed very difficult to draw

1/2 of an entire one of my classes was entirely spent on learning to animate hands and feet... you think drawing one is bad... try drawing 12 for every second of animation XD
