Dude, you're in Leeds!? I'm near Leeds! Go the North!
I do have arms, and I am a force to be reckoned with... but I wouldn't say I'm in the armed forces.

Re: How many ppl in the armed forces
I was gonna be a pilot, but then I foundout that my left eye is 20/40, and my right eye is 20/20.
I'll still try to sign up to be a pilot, but I probably won't make it past the vision tests.

The armed forces is my backup plan in case my main plan for after school doesnt work. Besides, the little 60,000 man Canadian army could use some new recruits

Re: How many ppl in the armed forces
Armed Forces is a backup plan for me.
They keep calling me to join ROTC or the Nuclear Operator programs they got running though.
If all else fails I'll try one of those.

Bad ass? I'm sure dying is bad ass.... you don't do it because "its cool" dumbass... war isn't a game.
CoD glorifying war? There is nothing glorious about war... if you haven't realized that.
See what happens....
1) Intense training that sucks ass
2) Going to the fuckiing desert in another country faaaar from home.
3) Possibly dying (there have been a lot of military deaths this year/past couples months)
Giving it a go, to test the waters, is a stupid reason to go to war. Its almost like you think of it a harmless sample of life, when in reality, you may wish that you'd never had signed up. If you go to war you do it for the right reasons (protect your country people) and you are set on going.

You always like to pick a argument with me, don't you?
1. I already like JROTC, so the formalities wont be bad for me.
2. It's only truly intense if your a weak fucker that doesn't work out but I like being pushed to the limit, so intense is no problem.
3.It isn't always a desert, and just because your in the army doesn't mean your in Iraq/Afghanistan, we have bases/embassies all over the world, I could get stationed their.
4. Out of the Million or so troops that have been in Iraq(Foreign troops included.) their hasn't been significant casualties for our side. Though for the insurgents I'm not sure but I know it's higher than ours.
5. Theirs always a chance to die, and I'd rather die doing something good for my country than just work in a lab or office all day. I barley even think my life as important, so to me the fear of death isn't as great as the chance to do something good.

3.It isn't always a desert, and just because your in the army doesn't mean your in Iraq/Afghanistan, we have bases/embassies all over the world, I could get stationed their. Well aware of that, I know a marine who was stationed in our largest european base in germany, I was generalizing that you'd rather be "in the action".
4. Out of the Million or so troops that have been in Iraq(Foreign troops included.) their hasn't been significant casualties for our side. Though for the insurgents I'm not sure but I know it's higher than ours. It doesn't matter on what the chances are, it matters that there is a chance of you dying. Of course there are more people dying on their side, that was given, however its the fact that you could die that bothers me. Especially for kids who want to join the military because they watch war movies and play war games (not saying you do that, its just an example)

I barley even think my life as important, so to me the fear of death isn't as great as the chance to do something good. Because all jobs are in labs and offices, I dont plan on working in a lab or office either, but i'm not joinging the military. Besides... unless you do the military for your entire life, you'd still end up doing a job in a "office or lab". I'd consult someone if you don't think your life is important by the way.
