I love the smell a' napalm in the morning...
So I finally watched Apocalypse Now.
Watched it this morning OnDemand, it was the redux.
mind=blown
One of the best movies ever made, and definitely the best 'nam movie I've seen so far.

Heh... sehr gut...
I've never made it through the redux version, but I have the Complete Dossier in my collection.
The Gunship Assault scene... incomparable. But the madness that the swiftboat encounters further up the stream spells out EXACTLY why we lost the war.
And the music is among the best parts of the movie. Jim Morrison's "The End" is played, split between the beginning and the end. Pink Floyd's "Echoes" was played almost continuously when they stopped at the camp for fuel. And, of course, the famous "Die Walkurie", by Wagner.
"Scares the S#&@ out of the gooks."
So yeah, a very good Vietnam movie.

Not really that impressive, it was good, just not great.
Its like how when I lived in California, all the spiky haired kids and Mexican kids were all hyped up on Scarface, just because, it was Scarface.
Rasq did give good reasons of why its good though.

Well, it was his mission, to kill that guy.
And Kurtz wanted to die. He was sick, he was driven into the jungle where he would never see his family again, and he was teetering on the brink of true insanity.
And by the way...
"seek not to bar our way, for we shall win through... no matter the cost!"
Almost as good as "I will rule this sector, or see it burnt to ashes around me."

Re: I love the smell a' napalm in the morning...
Watched it when I was little, feel asleep halfway through.
Watched it a few months ago this year, and few asleep halfway through again.
The parts I saw were quite boring, but I only saw up to 30 minutes max.

Ukurse, you said Halo CE was a bad game. Your opinions will always be false.
