Story Time Empty Story Time

Post by BBJynne Mon Aug 24, 2009 12:45 am

Sorry about the strange format, I wrote this in a chatbox and had to copy paste it out

this is a moving story about breaking social boundaries
Once, there was a jormungar worm
and it had a brother
because there were not one, but two jormungar worms
and these jormungar worms loved each other
but they could not be together
because they were siblings
And as it came to happen
their parents didn't come home to the cave one day
and the two jormgunar worms became concerned
so they went out to the iceflow where their parents worked
and they found nothing
except
a trail that looked like a jormugnar had slithered away
our two heroes followed the trail
and it lead to a cavern
this cavern was not like the jormungar's home
for it was hot and steamy
so they were going into the cavern
and they reached a split in the path
which way could the go? this was quite a predicament
they decided to split up
So Jormungar worm number 1, now known as Bob, went left
And Jormungar Worm Number 2, now known as Amy, went right
if either of them found their parents they were to return to the split and go the other
way
anyway
Bob was slithering along in the dark
and he heard a noise
he can see in the dark though
and he turned to look
but he was already too late
before he knew what was happening angrim's tooth hit him and he was
disembodied!
Then someone a human killed him and a giant ate his soul.
Amy heard his screams
She hurried back to where he was
and found nothing
because they left no traces
but she did see a glow ahead
and she decided to investigate
Amy was thinking that maybe her brother was dead
so she didn't love him anymore
and that was okay I guess she thought
but anyway
Amy slithered toward the glow
and went around the corner and saw...
LAVA
it flowed so right
and glowed so warming
its heat attracted her to it
and she knew what she wanted
her entire life had only been preparing her for this
at that moment, the lava spoke
"Amy, girl you looking so good, you lookin so right"
"we've got all night to just us two"
and Amy became aroused
but she was also worried
because Jomrungar worms and lava were forbidden to love each other
but her desire got the best of her
Amy trembled as she approached the lava
she was so nervous!
she stretched her maw toward it
and then
the Jormungar worm fell into the lava and burned alive
the moral of this story
DON'T TRY TO HAVE SEX WITH LAVA

It was originally jörmungandr. just take away 2 letters and you have Jormungar. Now tell me that isn't a rip-off.

Fail. World of Warcrack already fails, so copying from Norse mythology makes it fail even more. Granted FF7 was pretty much based on Norse mythology, it was cool enough to pull it off.

I did not know that as I would never play it. But it is the same in FF7, only that game can pull it off. Now if they turned WoW into a pure Norse mythology MMO, that would be interesting.

one of wow's things is that it draws inspiration from all sorts of stuff, so I think it's allowed to use whatever it wants as long as it's not offensive

It is still plagiarism. Except that US plagiarism laws do not apply as the authors are long dead and they were not US citizens.
