Re: Small World :O
Dude I'm like 6ft, so I'm dandy right now
On a more serious note, just because we're small doesn't mean we should feel small. How many of these mega-suns have gained the capability to observe us? None of them! Mwa ha ha ha...
Earth rocks. Screw you, massive suns!
And I would love to see what would happen if someone did move all the stars and planets together like in that video. It would be like the ultimate GMod explosion of doom.

Re: Small World :O
you know whats funny
technically there would be lag
cause when there is a lot of energy and mass time slows down
we know this through a test of we sent a certain wave to mars and measured how far it was from the echo and when mars went behind the sun the distance doubled even though we know the orbit doesnt do that
so it has been figured out that the energy and mass of sun warped time to slow it down

Re: Small World :O
Time is relative, you will always experience it at the same rate, regardless of how quickly it is moving someplace else.
But I do believe that its gravity that warps time and space, causing it to 'slow down', although I remember seeing something about energy warping time and space ever so slightly as well.

Re: Small World :O
No, its not lag at all.
First of all, time is relative. Diferent objects can experience time differently based on how distorted time and space are; generally the more gravity/energy the more distorted. This is even observed by a difference in time between earth and our satellites. We experience it at a different rate than them.
If it were like lag, even if something slowed down, it would make up for that and catch up. Time doesn't work like that. It would never catch up unless what you were comparing it to got slowed down...
Time is a concept, not a concrete force or fact

time is not fact, its a concept, way to measure the passing of events and changes.

Bilco, what we know as time is a concept. Time is more of a measurement system.
