You seem kind of overpowered, it used to be a squad of marines could just barely take on one elite, and now there almost equals or something. Theres no way an ODST could melee a brute to death.

and your going to be on your own a lot, killing brutes alone.

ODST's are Marines on Roids
but yeah, melee against a breute should not work very well

I think melee against a Chieftan should work fine, if not better.

I agree a little, they are basically releasing the same game 3 times when it comes to Halo 3, ODST and Reach. I also dislike how overpowered the ODSTs are, theres no way they could melee a brute to death, and they must be like, 8 feet tall or something.

Reach is actually using a completely new graphical and physics engine, and they could decide to make it a squad shooter. If it's anything like Republic Commando, I'll love it.

Of course Reach is using a new engine, it will be 4 years since the last one...

All we know right now is it's a FPS, everything else is just speculation.
